Dr. Ashley Patnoe has traveled a winding path through, beyond and back to West Virginia. She was born and spent several of her childhood years in Morgantown, WV. Richmond, VA was briefly home to Dr. Patnoe before her family moved to Charleston, WV in 1980.
From the age of 12, Dr. Patnoe spent a great deal of her spare time working in her father’s endodontic practice. Although she admired the skills and artistry that he developed as a dentist – in a career spanning over 42 years, and counting – Dr. Patnoe never imagined that she would one day choose to follow in his footsteps.
After graduating from Charleston’s George Washington High School in 1989, Dr. Patnoe entered undergraduate studies at West Virginia University. Although she expected to graduate as a teacher, Dr. Patnoe decided to enter WVU’s dental school. She emerged a dentist, and then completed her residency studies at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Upon completion of her academics, she remained in Michigan for 3 1/2 years, working as a pediatric dentist in a large practice in Rochester Hills, MI.
Feeling the need to return to her hometown, Dr. Patnoe chose to plan, build and open her own pediatric practice in Charleston, WV. Since opening her office on November 3, 2003, Dr. Patnoe has welcomed patients from a diverse population in and around Charleston.
Dr. Patnoe describes herself and the members of her office team as “committed to the oral health of the children I take care of, and I strive to meet all of their growing needs. I’m always pushing myself and my staff to improve our service to our community.”
Her family, consisting of her husband, son and daughter, share Dr. Patnoe’s love of West Virginia, and take advantage of all the state has to offer, including hiking and snow skiing. She also shares her enjoyment of movies, cooking and (especially) reading with her family.
And she is immensely happy that her journey continues in West Virginia.
Kourtney is a graduate from West Virginia Junior College (WVJC) with her associate degree in Dental Assisting. Kourtney joined our team in June of 2018.
Fun fact: Kourtney is the Momma to Twins and Triplets, and says in her downtime, “Ha ha who has downtime? My evenings are filled with Dance, Football, Cheer, and anything else my crew gets me into, but I would not have it another way!” Weekends are made for fun and family.
Lisa graduated from WV Tech with a Dental Hygiene degree and has been a valued member of our team since 2007.
Lisa is happily married; they have a daughter and a son who are grown now. A grandson and a dog named Stella!
Since Lisa is an “empty nester” now she enjoys her time being outside and walking with her husband. Reading, cooking, baking, and playing with Stella. Lisa says, “Saturdays are made for yard sales and riding through the mountains with Jeff and Stella. Sundays are for Church”.
Carrena graduated from WVJC with an associate of Applied science in Dental Assisiting in 2019.
Carrena is married “to the best husband” and a mom to three beautiful girls and one handsome son. Carrena’s hobbies are listening to podcasts, taking trips with her family and tending to her chickens!
Carrena says “my favorite park of working at CPD is making anxious kids laugh and feel more at ease. Everyone needs someone and I love when that someone is me”.
Tori graduated from Carver Career Center as a Certified Dental Assistant in 2015 and joined our team in February of 2021.
Tori has five children, 1 boy and 4 girls plus her pup Banks. When Tori is not working with us, she loves spending her time with her family and she says “online shopping is the best”.
Chelsie is a Graduate from West Virginia Junior College with her associate degree in Dental Assisting in 2022. Chelsie also joined our team that same year.
Chelsie is happily married with one son and two dogs, a German shepherd and a basset hound. She loves to read new books in her downtime and she loves to travel; it’s one of her many passions.
Bonnie has worked in the dental field for nine years in patient services. Bonnie joined our team in 2023!
Bonnie has two daughters and 3 grandchildren “my little blessings”. When Bonnie is not in the office she is spending quality time with her family.
Sam is a graduate of West Virginia Junior College (WVJC) in 2023 and joined our team the same year!
When Sam is not at the office, she loves spending time with her husband, her beautiful daughter, and her cat Porkchop.
